Our Marriage Works Conference

Good marriages don’t happen by accident or by good luck. A good marriage takes energy, intentional effort, and commitment. Usually, when you first meet the man or woman of your dreams it all seems pretty easy. The emotions rush in, the chemicals in your brain fire-up, and you seem magically drawn to the person that you decide you want to marry. It wasn’t hard and it didn’t take a lot of effort. It was euphoric. But after you get a few years of marriage under your belt, (or a few weeks or months) the euphoria begins to fade. Sometimes, people begin to wonder if they married the wrong person. They may begin to blame their spouse for their unhappiness. It is not unusual to have a sense of “buyer’s remorse”. But your marriage does not have to stay this way. And the answer does NOT have to be finding a new person and beginning this process all over again.

The key to a good marriage is to regularly and purposefully invest the good things that will help your marriage grow into a deep, rich and fulfilling relationship.

Think of your marriage like a bank account. The more you invest into it the more there is available for you to enjoy. If very little is invested, you can’t expect to draw much from it. Another big key is to know what and where to invest. The good news is that building a good marriage is not a mystery. Research has shown that great marriages have remarkably similar characteristics. Just as there are natural or scientific laws of the universe (like gravity) there are also natural laws of relationships. You can learn how to have a good marriage!

The Renewing Life Center is committed to making a positive impact on marriages in Southern Nevada by offering the “MARRIAGE WORKS” conference~workshop. Check below to get registration information for the next available course. Courses are open to married, engaged and seriously dating couples. (Sorry, no childcare is available and children are not allowed). The Marriage Works Conference is $95 per couple. While it is most helpful to attend the course with your spouse, you may attend on your own if your spouse is unable or unwilling to attend.
