Honestly, the best way to describe the community that is receiving help with food at this time is thankful! We have seen so many families come through and just thank us for being open, for giving out food and pointing them where they can get more help. We don’t have a lot of individual stories at the moment due to the busyness of it all and social distancing, but all of our interactions have been met with gratefulness!
A walker was donated in great condition. We have a Korean family that we serve and Grandma is 93 years old. Most Saturdays they come to service, walking from their apartment to Casa de Luz. Grandma walks with a cane in one hand and arm in arm with her daughter for balance. We passed the walker to her. The family was overjoyed, God is great!
